Brief:
Create a narrative book that told a personal story relating to the word; Code, Tool or Surface. My story was about a bike ride where I climbed the Worcestershire Beacon in Malvern. At the time it was tough and exhausting and my first real sense of adventure growing up as a teenager. The book aims to tell this sense of struggle through tearable pages and a decreasing line measure.\
Solution:
The book, called UP, reads in reverse order which adds a challenge to the reader which allowed me to create a contour effect using the pages to visualise a map of the hill. As you read though the book and climb the hill in the story, you simultaneously climb through the pages themselves.
